YouTube will have guest editors

youtubelogo1Interesting announcement was made by folks at YouTube last night. Together with some internal community announcement, they announced that they will opening up the programming of YouTube home page to guest editors. They will pick one user a month to take over for a few days as editor.

Getting into this program is easy, all you have to do is send in a list of 10 videos you like to place on YouTube home. Together with a short video about why you chose what you did and how you found the experience. But make sure the ten video don’t violate YouTube terms of services (TOS).

Can you imagine the aftermath of being featured on YouTube front page? You can expect minimum few hundred thousands views and not to mention that is just for one video. Is that the sign of YouTube heading for Netscape style, introducing array paid video hunter? Most probably it is. Paid Digger, paid Netscaper, now paid “YouTuber” ; Social networking never get boring.
