Vodafone teaming up with MySpace
MySpace thus News Corp. was quite busy last week with it’s oriental deal. But a new partnership was unfolding on the shores of Europe too. MySpace has been working on for a deal with British mobile phone company Vodafone Group Plc. According to Reuters, MySpace has been making efforts to boost its global presence and has begun to expand internationally. No doubt about that effort, since we already know MySpace will be available in China soon. Now as Vodafone is the largest mobile carrier in Europe, this deal will boost MySpace dominance in European market.
After the partnership has announced, in a joint press statement, both Vodafone and MySpace affirmed-
The partnership will enable millions of Vodafone customers to access MySpace mobile, allowing them to edit their own MySpace profiles, find and add friends, post photos and blogs and send and receive MySpace messages while on the move.
The deal will be in action within few months. In the process Vodafone will begin to implement this service within the UK, and will pre-load MySpace mobile software on selected handsets. But off course user can also download software from its Vodafone live! site.
