Secret service is after blogger
Well I used to know now days blog get a lot of attention, but never thought it will get this much attention. The incident of a 14-year-old freshman was taken out of class Wednesday and questioned for about 15 minutes by two Secret Service agents. Offence was posting a picture of the president, scrawled “Kill Bush? across the top and drew a dagger stabbing his outstretched hand. Though she replace that picture after she came to know that’s a federal offence in her myspace site. But replacement didn’t save her. The girl said, the agents threatened her by saying she could be sent to juvenile hall for making the threat. Secret service didn’t make any official statement on this horrible incident.
Apparently the parent’s were not happy, since secret service neither informs them nor waits them to accompany their daughter.
This story proves the importance of considering your thoughts and idea that might because you trouble. Under any circumstances I am not encouraging anyone to abandon their thoughts, ideas, or believes; Blog is a form of exercise your freedom, but keep the fact in mind that what are the consequences, and are you prepare for that.
Few things in this story I can’t drop out from my mind. I don’t understand, why a federal agency questions a 14 year old girl without notifying parents. If drawing a picture against president a crime, than where is the freedom speech he gave everyday? This is a normal common sense that secret service should have considered before threatening, a 14-year old child does not posses any threat. They should know by now there is even domain operating killbush.net, why not go after that insted of kids. Blog is supposed to be freedom of expression, but looks like politics is important than freedom, silly.

I think its a matter of having to follow up on every threat to the President’s life no matter who it is.

I doubt that, everyday hundreds of people write something negative about president or his policy, that’s freedom of speech. And how many have secret service retaliate? The Kill Bush T-shirt and banner still sold on the net.:P If secret service can’t protect president from a 14 year old girl’s rage (if she really does), that will be a shame.
It’s all about politics and publicity.

Personally with all the school shootings, I’d be taking threats from 14 year olds rather seriously. At that age they are more likely to act out of emotional rage than anyone.

Sure why not, take it seriously but inform the parents first. Every have rights, isn’t that the law says?
On the other hand how stupid is Secret Service, Thinking someone really wants to kill president and put her true name and address.:P

actually, they were notified that they wanted to speak with her, they just weren’t present at the questioning.
I agree with Paul though, I beleive they have to follow up on every threat regardless, which may be why the Secret Service guys were so grumpy. That’s alot of people to question!

Yes they were not present, and State Law says they should have present, since she is underage.:P
And yes no doubt and question about their responsibilty to protect president. Question is their method, since they already know the girls whole data-they could have just go to her home (say about 2 hours they had to wait).
Hey kith have you seen the site killbush.net?
That’s selling T-shirt for a long time, i never heard they had any problem with feds or secret service.

I’ve not seen it, but it may be that they aren’t a US company.

Yes the domain was operating from Maxico, but my research shows me this company is using US outlet as there warehousing and shipping. Maybe the reason they are being avoided interuption is conflicting business idiology:P
But US senate is doing a good job, finalizing a bill to control these kind of public arrest/questioning. If that one pass we will know, how much is too much even for secret service:d
