Mashable! extended Awards deadline
Mashable! extend the Social Networking Awards until Friday evening PST (Just two hours from now), which was due today. Now the Voting is going on over Video sharing sites. You can only vote the one already nominated. Pete Cashmore says–
Next up for voting: video! To vote for your favorite video-sharing site, put the word “VOTE? followed by your choice in the comments. You can only choose from the nominees listed below. And if you haven’t already voted for your favorite mainstream social network, startpage and sporting social network, don’t forget to do so. If you work for one of the video sites that’s been nominated, there are buttons at the bottom of this page to add to your company blog.
So check your time with the deadline and Vote (if you still haven’t). Do not cheat, since that may cause your favorite site to exclude from the competition.

Mashable has already EXTENDED THE VOTING 4 TIMES, first claiming they needed sleep, and now claiming that “A number of the companies involved only discovered the contest today, so we’re giving them a fair chance at getting the word out.”
ORIGINAL DEADLINE - THURSDAY 12/21, MIDNIGHT
EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, 12/22 2 PM PST
EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, 12/22 6 PM PST
EXTENDED TO SATURDAY, 12/23 12 PM PST
NOW EXTENDED INDEFINITELY…
Until the sites they promised the awards to can gather enough votes to win perhaps? After all, we need to be fair to our close “friends”.
Or is Pete Cashmore afraid of looking stupid if a site he has never heard of wins?
