Baidu’s blog search

Baidu Logo Chinese search engine monster Baidu, at last revealed it’s long awaited blog search engine. China’s top Internet search engine Baidu launched its blog search service on late Thursday to help navigate 20 million Chinese bloggers contents. As far as I can see, this is the first Chinese search service specifically for blogs.

According to Baidu this search service was based on a database of billions of websites, including all the blogs supported by Chinese blog service providers and individual blog websites. I noticed that only blogs written in simplified Chinese are coming up at this moment(as well as english). Along with blog search Baidu also launched few more other new services too-Search possession (for searching collectibles and hobbies), Shadu (Baidu anti-virus, network security) and Are you (MTV generation-music videos and MTV related).
